The 99. DGN-Kongress 2026, organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurologie (DGN), runs 4 to 7 November 2026 at CityCube Berlin. It is held jointly with the 70th annual meeting of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neuropathologie und Neuroanatomie (DGNN), under the shared name Neurowoche 2026. Attendees are neurologists, residents (Ärztin/Arzt in Weiterbildung), neuropathologists, nursing and allied health staff (Angehörige der Gesundheitsberufe), researchers and students, mostly from the DACH region. 2026 brings a new host theme, "Vaskuläre Neurologie: Innovation, Präzision, Prävention", set by Kongresspräsident Prof. Dr. Götz Thomalla. Three new interactive formats join the programme: the gamified "Wissenschaft interaktiv", the case discussion format "Wie hätten Sie entschieden?", and the Stroke-Escape-Room "Time is Brain", a 15 minute stroke simulation. International symposia expand with joint sessions from the European Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Neurology, World Federation of Neurology and European Stroke Organisation.

The scientific programme includes the Eröffnungsveranstaltung, a Presidential Symposium, a vascular neurology symposium block from Thursday to Saturday, and the Fortbildungsakademie, with 29 Fortbildungskurse and around 90 Skills Labs. The programme also includes Interprofessionelle Neurologie, Junge Neurologie and the DGN-Forum. Evening events confirmed for 2026 include a Get-together, the Spendenlauf der Deutschen Hirnstiftung charity run, a film evening and "Noten und Neuronen"; timings were not yet published, so check the congress page nearer the date.

Habyt Berlin Waterfront sits in Friedrichshain, by the Rummelsburger See, on the east side of Berlin. CityCube Berlin sits in the west, by the Funkturm. The upside: S Ostkreuz is 5 minutes on foot from the hotel, and the S41 or S42 Ringbahn runs there with no change, about 45 to 50 minutes door to door. Check live departures with S-Bahn Berlin.
The on-site fee includes a free Berlin public transport ticket for the congress dates, so you need no separate ticket for the ride. Skills Labs are free but capped at 3 per person, with booking open since 9 September. Pack a warm, waterproof layer: in past years, about one day in three of the congress dates saw rain.
Congress days start early and run long: 09:00 on Wednesday, 08:30 on Thursday and Friday, both to 20:00. The ride from Habyt Berlin Waterfront to CityCube Berlin takes about 45 to 50 minutes, so the fully equipped kitchens are useful: make coffee and breakfast before that ride west.
The Infocenter opens 08:00 daily for check-in. If you stay for an evening event such as the Get-together or the film evening, the coworking space is there to finish notes when you get back, and the courtyard and the lakeside setting by the Rummelsburger See help you reset. A note on geography: Habyt Berlin Waterfront is in Friedrichshain, in the east; CityCube Berlin is in Charlottenburg-Westend, in the west. It is a cross-city ride. Walk 5 minutes to S Ostkreuz, then take the S41 or S42 Ringbahn, no change, to Messe Nord/ZOB. The alternative is S3 then S9, with one change, to Messe Süd, the stop DGN recommends. Either way, plan on about 45 to 50 minutes door to door on a weekday morning. Check live departures with S-Bahn Berlin, the transport operator.
CityCube Berlin's operator, Messe Berlin GmbH, runs two car parks: P14, about 160 spaces directly at CityCube, and P18, about 550 spaces on Jafféstraße (Messe Berlin parking).
