Habyt and Befimmo join forces to bring the residential part of the ZIN to life

• Habyt and Befimmo jointly launch ZIN, set to become one of the most prominent co-living projects in Brussels, featuring adjacent new hotel and co-working spaces.
• With the introduction of ZIN, Habyt marks its entry into the Belgian market, adding Brussels as the 20th European city in Habyt’s expansive network.
• The project comprises 169 units available for lease, which include a dynamic mix of co-living spaces, studios, and apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms.

Brussels, April 23, 2024: Habyt and Befimmo announce a partnership for managing ZIN project's residential segment in Brussels, adjacent to the new luxury hotel, The Standard, and a co-working space. Habyt, a global leader in flexible housing, now enters Belgium. From May 2024, for 15 years, Habyt will oversee ZIN's transformation into a modern residential space tailored to serviced housing with corporate partnerships, young professionals and expatriates. Renovation starts in May, with the grand opening in September 2024.

Befimmo has selected Habyt as the ideal partner to manage the residential component of the ZIN project, one of the capital’s most iconic buildings. Recognized globally for pioneering flexible housing, Habyt's digital-first approach to providing accessible accommodation is expanding its reach to include Brussels and Belgium. This partnership aligns with the completion of ZIN’s development, integrating living, working, and leisure under one roof and marking a pivotal phase in the project.

Habyt’s arrival at ZIN is a critical part of the Up4North initiative aimed at revitalizing the area around Brussels North station. Befimmo, a co-founder of Up4North, and Habyt are now set to enhance the urban landscape of Brussels, embodying the transformation of the North region of the city. This collaboration extends Habyt’s global presence to over 50 cities with more than 30,000 units, while also reinforcing Befimmo’s commitment to transforming European urban environments.

The residential part of ZIN comprises 23 studios, 52 flats, 23 two-bedroom flats, 10 three-bedroom flats and 3 floors, each with 6 co-living units. With its residential spaces, Habyt completes the multifunctional offer of ZIN, which already has a hotel (The Standard), a commercial space on the ground floor, offices currently occupied by the Flemish authorities, as well as a rooftop and a garden.

This new project represents another milestone in the expansion of Habyt's global presence. Brussels becomes the 20th city in the world to which the Berlin-based company has expanded, after creating unique spaces in megacities such as New York, San Francisco and Singapore.
