Habyt Appoints Jonathan Wong as CEO for APAC
Singapore, 11 July 2023 – Habyt, the world's leading flexible living provider, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Wong as its new Chief Executive Officer for APAC. This strategic decision coincides with the rebranding of recently merged Hmlet to Habyt as part of Habyt’s mission to create a distinct, unified global flexible living brand that reflects the company’s values and mission.
The unification of all brands within the Habyt Group under one global flexible living brand will enable the company to fast track its global expansion as the international leader in the sector.
Jonathan will lead the business in APAC by delivering commercial success for real estate partners, enhancing stay experiences for Members, expanding Habyt’s presence across the region, as well as deepening its footprint in current cities.
He brings with him a wealth of transformational leadership qualities backed by a track record of launching and scaling top tier businesses across the region. Prior to joining Habyt, Jonathan held senior executive positions in CloudKitchens APAC, a tech-enabled real estate business, and at Uber SEA.
Under Jonathan’s leadership, Habyt will continue its mission to revolutionise the way people rent accommodation, with a commitment to quality and convenience. The rebrand, which emphasises accessible accommodation, signifies a fresh approach to providing seamless and diverse solutions for individuals and families seeking both short and long-term stays. Habyt’s extensive international portfolio of locations, and suite of offerings from shared and private apartments, to hotels and serviced apartments, ensures that there is a perfect option for everyone — removing barriers and complexities associated with traditional rental solutions.
