What ARCOmadrid 2027 is and what's new for 2027

ARCOmadrid is the International Contemporary Art Fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID, running its 46th edition from 3 to 7 March 2027 at IFEMA MADRID, Pavilions 7 and 9. The 2026 edition drew 211 galleries from 30 countries and 95,000 visitors, around 40,000 of them art professionals, with acquisitions by the Museo Reina Sofía and several regional collections.

  • A new shared visual identity for ARCOmadrid and ARCOlisboa, built around the colour #E94871, between red and magenta, unveiled 5 June 2026.
  • Sala 46, a new curated space designed by Impar Design, built to host presentations, meetings and conversations throughout fair week.
  • Three curated sections confirmed for 2027: ARCO2046, Opening for galleries under eight years old, and Perfiles, Arte Latinoamericano, continuing ARCO's Latin American focus. See the galleries page for the full list once published.
  • General Programme applications for galleries closed on 17 September 2026.

Program highlights and key dates

ARCOmadrid 2027 runs across five days with no public-only day: the fair is professional-only on 3 March (10:00 to 20:00) and 4 March (12:00 to 20:00), then professional and public together from the afternoon of 5 March (from 15:00) through 6 March (12:00 to 20:00) and the closing day, 7 March (12:00 to 18:00), per the organiser's own schedule.

Alongside the General Programme, 2027 brings Sala 46, a curated meeting space designed by Impar Design, and three curated sections: ARCO2046, Opening and Perfiles, Arte Latinoamericano (see the organiser's own announcement). Fair week also tends to fill Madrid's wider gallery and museum calendar with openings and satellite events across the city, on top of the halls themselves.

Tickets

ARCOmadrid 2027 tickets and professional registration are not published yet: the organiser's own page states they "will be available soon," as of 27 October 2026. Check the official tickets page directly before you plan your trip, since this changes without notice.

For scale, the 2026 edition (the most recent completed one) drew 95,000 visitors, about 40,000 of them art professionals, across 211 galleries from 30 countries, per the organiser's 2026 results.

Prepare before you arrive

ARCOmadrid runs long professional days (10:00 to 20:00 on the opening day), with hundreds of galleries across two pavilions and three curated sections to plan around. The coworking spaces at Truliving Vallecas by Habyt are a practical place to go through the gallery list and your own meeting schedule the evening before, rather than doing it standing in a hall.

Registration and ticket details for 2027 are not published yet; check the official tickets page again closer to your trip. Early March in Madrid swings from cool mornings to mild afternoons, with rain a real possibility, so pack layers and a light jacket rather than one heavy coat (see Venue and travel essentials below for the historical averages).

Reserve your apartment for the fair week

Maximize your time on-site

Once the professional days end, Truliving Vallecas by Habyt puts you on a direct line into the part of Madrid where ARCOmadrid week spills out into the wider city. Metro Line 1 runs straight from Valdecarros, about 10 minutes on foot from the apartment, to Atocha in 14 stops and to Sol in 18, with no change of line. The Museo Reina Sofía and the Museo del Prado are within walking distance of Atocha, so an evening at a satellite opening or a museum visit is one direct ride away.

On the days you go to IFEMA MADRID itself, leave early and use the ride for your gallery list: the trip needs two changes, covered in Venue and travel essentials below.

Venue and travel essentials

Getting there

Truliving Vallecas by Habyt is about 10 minutes on foot from Valdecarros, the southern terminus of Metro Line 1 (see the official CRTM station page). From there, Line 1 runs directly to Atocha (14 stops) and Sol (18 stops), with no change of line.

IFEMA MADRID sits on the other side of the city, served by Metro Line 8 at Feria de Madrid station, which exits opposite the fairground's South entrance, per ARCOmadrid's own access page. Line 1 does not meet Line 8, so the trip needs two changes: take Line 1 from Valdecarros to Pacífico (12 stops), change to Line 6 and ride via Avenida de América to Nuevos Ministerios (8 stops), then change to Line 8 for Feria de Madrid (4 stops). Allow about an hour door to door, and check a live planner before you travel. This is a cross-city trip, and Truliving Vallecas by Habyt is not a hotel next to the fair.

Parking

Truliving Vallecas by Habyt offers parking for 70 EUR a month. IFEMA MADRID has its own car parks at the South, North and East entrances, reached from the M11, M40 or A2; taxi ranks at the same three entrances carry a 3.00 EUR facility surcharge, per the venue's own access page.

Weather

Historical average for 3 to 7 March (2016 to 2025): 13.4°C high, 4.1°C low, rain on 20 of 50 days checked, about 2 days in 5 (Open-Meteo historical data). Pack layers, a light jacket and something for the rain for ARCOmadrid week.
