What FITUR is and what's new for 2027

FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, is organised by IFEMA MADRID, the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound international tourism. The 47th edition runs 20 to 24 January 2027 at IFEMA MADRID, Avenida del Partenón 5. See the official FITUR homepage.

FITUR 2027 occupies eleven halls, two more than 2026, with Puerto Rico as the official Partner Country (organiser announcement). The fair brings a second edition of the Knowledge Hub and of FITUR Experience, plus the Travel Technology area, which grew 50 percent in 2026, alongside sections including FITUR 4ALL, FITUR Cruises, FITUR LGBT+ and FITUR Sports.

Program highlights and key dates

FITUR 2027 splits into two parts. Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 January are trade days, 10:00 to 19:00, accredited professionals only; anyone over 16 needs a professional pass. Saturday 23 (10:00 to 20:00) and Sunday 24 January (10:00 to 18:00) open to the general public as well as professionals. See the official schedule and the FAQ.

Halls are organised by geography, Europe, America, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Spain, plus a companies area and Travel Technology. In 2026, FITUR drew 255,000 visitors and over 10,000 companies from 161 countries, 111 with official representation (IFEMA MADRID).

Tickets

As of 27 October 2026, a one-day Professional Pass costs 15 EUR in advance, 30 EUR regular, or 40 EUR at the box office. A permanent pass, valid every day, costs 30 EUR in advance, 60 EUR regular, or 80 EUR at the box office. The advance price holds until 31 December 2026, per the official ticket page.

Public weekend prices for 2027 are not yet published. Registration is personal: one pass per person, each on its own IFEMA MADRID account.

Prepare before you arrive

FITUR lasts five days: three trade days, then a public weekend. Book direct at habyt.com, where Truliving Vallecas by Habyt always has its best price, and use the flexible stay to match your nights to the days you actually work, from the Wednesday opening to the Sunday close. Habyt lists free cancellation for the property, so check the conditions of your rate and hold the room while your meeting plan is still moving.

Buy the Professional Pass before 31 December 2026 at the official ticket shop: one day costs 15 EUR in advance against 40 EUR at the box office.

Pack for late January: the ten-year average for these dates is a high of 11.2°C and a low of 2.1°C, with rain on close to a third of days (Open-Meteo historical data), so bring a warm coat and layers.

Maximize your time on-site

Three trade days from 10:00 to 19:00 mean long hours on your feet across eleven halls. Plan a full morning for the trip out, because the route to IFEMA MADRID has two changes (see Venue and travel essentials below). Back at Truliving Vallecas by Habyt, the sauna is a warm end to a cold January day, and the 24-hour gym fits around the fair's 19:00 close.

If you stay on for the public weekend, the halls open at 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Check the FITUR site the evening before for the next day's programme.

Venue and travel essentials

Getting there from Truliving Vallecas by Habyt

Truliving Vallecas by Habyt is about 10 minutes on foot from Valdecarros, the southern terminus of Metro Line 1. IFEMA MADRID is served by Feria de Madrid station on Line 8, with an exit opposite the South entrance (official access guide). Line 1 does not meet Line 8, so the trip needs two changes: take Line 1 from Valdecarros to Pacífico (12 stops), change to Line 6 and ride via Avenida de América to Nuevos Ministerios (8 stops), then change to Line 8 for Feria de Madrid (4 stops). Allow about an hour door to door, and check a live planner before you travel. This is a cross-town trip, not a hotel next to the fair.

Parking

IFEMA MADRID has parking at its South, North and East entrances, and taxis pay a 3 EUR supplement to enter or exit the grounds; no per-day parking rate is published on the venue's access page. At the hotel, parking is 70 EUR a month.

Weather

Historical average for 20 to 24 January (2016 to 2025): highs around 11.2°C, lows around 2.1°C, rain on 15 of 50 days, close to a third (Open-Meteo historical data). Some years turn colder, with lows well below freezing. Pack a warm coat and layers.
