Habyt secures lease for new coliving in Berlin
- 8,500 m2 leased long-term for co-living at Rummelsburger See, near Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

- Company expects to triple in 2022, with a consistent global growth strategy ** Berlin, 04.05.2022** – Habyt, world’s largest co-living operator based in Berlin, is securing its seventh building in the capital, located at the northern shore of Rummelsburger See an exclusive and sought-after location, neighboring the up-and-coming Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. With this latest lease, Habyt is consistently continuing its global growth strategy. Most recently, the company also announced its expansion into the Asian market, through a merger with Hmlet - the biggest Asia Pacific flexible living company.
Investa Real Estate is developing a new plot in cooperation with Groth Gruppe. The project called “My Bay” consists of three separate buildings with different use types. Habyt signed a lease for one of the buildings with approx. 8,500 m2 on a long-term basis.
The development under construction consists of 236 units total - 144 short-, mid- and long-term units, operated as serviced-apartments, and further 12 flats with 92 co-living rooms. The building is equipped with spacious common areas, co-working and commercial spaces. The outdoor terrace with a courtyard and a garden serve as recreational areas. A direct access to the Rummelsburger Bucht and lake views highlight the quality of life at this location, emphasizing the benefits of the stay.
These benefits make it a highly desirable location for Habyt’s community of tenants that consists of young professionals and digital nomads. The completion of the project is set for Q2 to Q3 2023.
With co-living buildings in Mitte, Wedding, Moabit and Friedrichshain, Habyt will soon operate another building in a district that is particularly popular amongst young people.
