GBTA + VDR Europe Conference 2026 in Partnership with ABTA runs from 2 to 4 November 2026 at the Austria Center Vienna. It is organised by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) together with VDR, the Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement e.V., and ABTA, the Austrian Business Travel Association. The official hashtag is #GBTAVDR26ABTA.
Two points mark this edition. First, a new host city: GBTA states that "for the first time, this flagship event will take place in Vienna." Second, the 2026 branding names three associations: ABTA appears as a co-host next to GBTA and VDR. See GBTA's own venue page for the host venue and city.
Monday 2 November: registration 08:00 to 19:30, the invitation-only VentureConnect, the Expo, the Sustainability Summit "From Strategy to Scale," and a Welcome Reception 17:30 to 19:30. Tuesday 3 November: Main Stage sessions, breakout sessions with braindates, and the off-site Big Night Out, 19:30 to midnight. Wednesday 4 November: Main Stage Closing, further breakouts, and a closing lunch in the Expo until 14:30, with no evening programme.
Badges are collected on-site only, at the GBTA Registration desk, and cannot be transferred. The GBTA App, once live, lets you search "Vienna" and verify with your registration email. Prices as of 23 September 2026, all subject to 20% VAT: Buyer Member €550, Non-Member Buyer €750 (includes membership), Supplier Member €1,475, Non-Member Supplier (Non-Exhibiting) €1,775. Press registration is complimentary with valid credentials. The Sustainability Summit alone is €275 for members and €385 for non-members, plus VAT, or included free with a full conference pass. The Bring Your Boss add-on lets a registered buyer add their direct manager, or an HR, Risk, Expense or Meetings-management colleague, for €100.

Book it like a travel manager: match the stay to the whole trip, not only the three conference days. The programme runs late on two evenings: the Welcome Reception closes at 19:30 on Monday, and the off-site Big Night Out runs from 19:30 to midnight on Tuesday. Habyt Vienna's reception is staffed 24/7, so you can come back after midnight and still find someone at the desk. On Wednesday the Expo and Breakfast opens at 09:00, one hour later than the Tuesday Expo, which gives you a slower start after the Big Night Out.
Use the breakout sessions and braindates on Tuesday and Wednesday to fill the gaps between Main Stage talks; braindate booking is one of the GBTA App features. Wednesday ends early, with the closing lunch until 14:30 and no evening programme, so plan onward travel for Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. Take Tram O from Bruno-Marek-Allee to Praterstern, then the U1 toward Leopoldau for three stops: Vorgartenstraße, Donauinsel and Kaisermühlen-VIC. From there, Austria Center Vienna is, by its own account, "a few minutes" on foot. Walking the whole route is possible but long: 2.8 km, about 38 minutes.
