TEDAI Vienna 2026 is one of only two official TED conferences worldwide this year, and the only one outside North America. TEDAI runs at the Hofburg from 28 to 30 October, curated by Dr. Alina Nikolaou in direct collaboration with TED. The organiser expects 1,100+ guests from 65+ countries and 820+ organizations, across technology, media, science, healthcare, finance, policy, engineering and education.
New for 2026:
Day 1, Wednesday 28 October: registration and the Community Mingle run 14:00 to 17:00, followed by free time and a black-tie Opening Gala from 20:00 to 23:00. Day 2, Thursday 29 October (Discovery Day): coffee from 09:00, Discovery Sessions 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00, including off-site Ideas Adventures such as museum visits and walking tours, then Themed AI Dinners from 18:00 to 21:00 for those who sign up. Day 3, Friday 30 October (Talks Day): coffee from 08:30, four talk sessions with breaks through the day, and a Closing Celebration with cocktails and a DJ from 19:00 to 23:30.

The Hofburg is at Heldenplatz, 1010 Vienna, with entrances at Heldenplatz, Josefsplatz and Botschafterstiege. From Habyt Vienna at Bruno-Marek-Allee 26, take tram O to Praterstern (Praterstern is also 10 minutes on foot), then change to the U1 to Stephansplatz and walk the final stretch to Heldenplatz: about 25 to 30 minutes door to door, typically one change. Tram O stops on Bruno-Marek-Allee itself. The Hofburg's own closest station is U3 Herrengasse, 5 minutes on foot, reachable by changing onto the U3 at Stephansplatz instead. Plan live connections with Wiener Linien.
The Hofburg has no dedicated garage: only metered Kurzparkzone street parking and an OSZE lot, with enquiries directed to the venue. One public garage nearby is Contipark, Tiefgarage Am MuseumsQuartier, open 24/7, a walk away from the Hofburg rather than adjacent. Habyt Vienna also offers paid parking on site.
