The 24. Internationaler Fachkongress "Kraftstoffe der Zukunft" (Fuels of the Future) is a trade congress for renewable fuels and mobility, held 18 and 19 January 2027 at CityCube Berlin. Five German associations organise it: Bundesverband Bioenergie (BBE, lead organiser), UFOP, VDB, BDBe and Fachverband Biogas, under the patronage of the Bundesministerium für Verkehr. Attendees come from biofuels, e-fuels, energy, automotive, shipping, aviation, chemicals, agriculture, government and the press. See the organiser's congress page.
The 2027 edition carries a new annual theme, "Transformation gestalten: Freie Fahrt für Erneuerbare", also the title of the opening keynote by BBE chair Marlene Mortler. The Nachwuchsförderwettbewerb, the Bioenergie-Abendempfang and the bilingual programme continue as usual. Germany's Treibhausgasminderungsquote rises to 17.5 percent from 2027, a policy the programme returns to repeatedly.
Monday 18 January runs as a single track in Raum A6, 10:00 to 18:45. It opens with a welcome from Stefan Walter (BDBe) and a keynote from Marlene Mortler, followed by Christian Hirte, Parlamentarischer Staatssekretär at the Bundesministerium für Verkehr, and panels on policy. Afternoon sessions cover higher blending rates for renewable fuels, with speakers from Volkswagen, Cargill/AGQM Biodiesel and ePURE. The day closes with the Bioenergie-Abendempfang, a free evening reception for all registered participants from 19:15 at hub27, Halle 27. Tuesday 19 January splits into four parallel tracks in Räume M1 to M8, 09:00 to 16:30: e-fuels and trade in the morning, biomethane, marine fuels and RED III before lunch, then green hydrogen, heavy-freight fuels and sustainable aviation fuel in the afternoon. Cancelling by that date costs a 50 EUR fee plus VAT; the full fee applies after; naming a substitute stays free. Arrive on Sunday 17 January, the night before the congress opens. Monday's programme does not start until 10:00 in Raum A6, so there is no need for an early alarm: take a relaxed coffee at Habyt Berlin Waterfront's café before the ride west, about 40 minutes by a single S3 train, no change.

After a long day in the halls, the fully equipped kitchens mean dinner does not depend on trade-fair catering. The coworking space is there to finish notes from the panels, and the courtyard or a walk by the Rummelsburger See close the evening before the next session.
