About the cityPhiladelphia, an exciting city full of history

They don’t call Philadelphia The Birthplace of America for nothing — it all started right here when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. As the nation’s former capital, Philly is bursting at the seams with more than 300 years of history, and as residents, you’ll see signs of times gone by around every corner. But Philadelphia isn’t stuck in the past; the city still bursts into life every January 1 with the colorful Mummers parade and every day thanks to hundreds of vibrant murals.
